PE

Welcome to St Wilfrid's School, where we place great importance on providing a comprehensive Physical Education (PE) programme for our pupils. Our aim is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among our pupils, while also fostering important values such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience.

At St Wilfrid's, we understand the significance of physical activity in the overall development of our pupils. Our PE curriculum is designed to offer a wide range of activities, encompassing both traditional sports and more contemporary forms of exercise. Through these activities, we aim to not only enhance physical fitness but also develop essential life skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving.

Our PE teachers are highly qualified and experienced, ensuring that our pupils receive the highest quality of instruction. We believe in creating a positive and inclusive environment where every pupil feels encouraged and supported to participate in PE activities, regardless of their ability or previous experience.

In addition to the regular PE lessons, we offer various extracurricular opportunities for our students to further develop their sporting abilities and interests. These include inter-school competitions, sports clubs, and participation in local tournaments. We strongly encourage our pupils to embrace these opportunities as they not only foster a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship but also provide a platform to showcase their talents.

As parents, your support and involvement play a crucial role in fostering a positive attitude towards physical education. We encourage you to engage with your child's PE experiences, attend school sporting events, and promote healthy habits at home. Together, we can ensure that our pupils have a well-rounded educational experience that prepares them for a healthy and active future.

If you have any questions or would like further information about our PE programme at St Wilfrid's School, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to working together to provide the best possible physical education for your child.
