GCSE Results 2022

St Wilfrid's School  would like to congratulate the Year 11 cohort for all their achievements over the past 5 years. During this time, it must be acknowledged that there were nearly two years of disruption to their learning, but we are incredibly proud of the manner in which all students adapted and overcame these challenges."

"The results that the students have achieved this year are even more commendable and the students have demonstrated the ability to adapt to prolonged periods of time away from their school community and their daily routines, as well as the opportunity to fully engage with their teachers, support staff and peers. Despite these challenges, they have responded to new and alternative approaches to teaching and learning and shown great courage, commitment and resilience which has led them to the success that we are witnessing today."

Ross Bovingdon, Headteacher of St Wilfrid's School shared: "I am really proud of each and every Year 11 student, not only for the outcomes they have personally achieved but more so for the way in which they have remained dedicated, committed and continued to work hard during their final year in preparing for their exams. They are a credit to the school community, themselves and their families and should be proud of themselves."

"I am delighted that the students will now have the opportunity to progress onto the next stage of their education or career, with some of them going onto study A levels, vocational qualifications as well as those that have secured some excellent apprenticeships and traineeships. I wish every single student the very best as they continue to pursue their personal and career aspirations."

"Today also provides an opportunity to pause and acknowledge and celebrate the work that schools, teachers and support staff have undertaken. They have not only worked tirelessly to ensure our children and young people continued to access their education but were also supported with their wellbeing, concerns, and worries."
