History

Welcome to St Wilfrid's School! We believe that learning about history is an essential part of a child's education. At St Wilfrid's, we strive to provide our pupils with a rich and engaging history curriculum that not only helps them understand the past, but also develops critical thinking skills and a sense of cultural awareness.

Our history curriculum covers a wide range of topics, from ancient civilisations to significant events that have shaped the world we live in today. We aim to make history come alive by incorporating interactive activities, field trips, and guest speakers into our lessons. By doing so, we ensure that our pupils are actively involved in their learning, fostering a love for history that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Key Stage 3 History is taught on a two year rotational basis.

The GCSE History curriculum is taught on a three year rotational basis. Year 9 & 10 are taught together so will enter at different start points.
