Year 10 & 11 Geography trip

On Monday 3rd October 2016, the Years 10 & 11 Geography groups went on a field trip to Dawlish Warren.

The students learnt all about the management of the coastal defences, Langstone Rock and had an educational talk from Stephen Alexander of the Dawlish Warren Nature reserve.

The students also undertook practical Geography processes: measuring longshore drift and measuring the beach profile.

The data collected will be used for the Year 11’s Geography controlled assessment and for the Year 10’s GCSE Geography paper 3.
