Sport Relief Mile 2012

On Friday 23rd March St Wilfrid’s School took part in going the extra mile for Sport Relief. All the pupils were given a sponsor sheet; they had to get people to give a small donation to charity. Declan in Year 8 had the most sponsors given whilst Vaani and his brother Kale had the most money given. Declan told us that “I feel very proud that I raised a good sum of money for a good cause”.

Everyone in the school ran at least a mile, in order to raise money. Some people decided to run further than a mile and some managed to do 2 miles without stopping or walking.

All in all the school raised, so far, just under £600. We are all very proud of ourselves since we are a very small school.
