From St Wilfrid’s to an interview with Gary Oldman

Dear Mrs Mannion,

I’ve just printed off the letter from parent mail about attending National Schools Film Week and I thought you’d be interested to hear the radio interviews Katie did with Gary Oldman in London to raise awareness of National Schools Film Week.

Film Education offered Katie the opportunity as Young Film Critic of the Year.  She entered the competition as a result of attending British Schools Film Week with St Wilfrid’s and then entered the competition independently of Exeter College.

When she was asked to do the interviews I asked her if she was worried and she said “Petrified Mum, but if you don’t do what you’re scared of you’d never do anything.” Please tell Mrs Dent that’s St Wilfrid’s influence shining through!  Who would have thought it was the same little girl who joined the school at 3 sucking her thumb!

We’ve got so much to thank St Wilfrid’s for, you’ve given her the very best start.

With best wishes,
Sarah Snow
