Year 9 H.E. pupils took the level 2 awards in Food Safety in Catering as part of their year 9 H.E. course. The course took place during normal lesson time over 6 weeks. Units of study included the history of food hygiene, bacteria, temperature control and how to prevent food poisoning. The final exam was a multiple choice paper with 30 questions, the pass mark is 20/30. Well done to Jonah Beer for scoring 26/30 which was the highest score for this group. With these certificates pupils find it easier to secure part time jobs in various catering establishments, including pubs, restaurants and leisure parks.
