Under 13 Rugby Vs St James – Thursday 25th November 2010

St Wilfrids 0 St James 25

A strange game! St Wilfrid’s had 80% of possession but couldn’t turn this advantage into points. Excellent contact and ball retention skills were shown by all the players, but the occaisional lack of concentration allowed St James to score five breakaway trys.

Stand out performers were Piers Eggleton, who gave an intelligent performance, making good decisions and some outstanding breaks. Charlie Roddis captained the side superbly and tackled like a demon!

The performance suggests good prospects for the future. We now need to turn possession into points!!
