Following on from the successful performance in the recent Ten Tors event, there was plenty of interest amongst the next generation hoping to follow in their footsteps. Unfortunately the first SWOP walk scheduled for 2 weeks ago had to be cancelled due to high winds and heavy rain. Today could not have been more different, with clear blue skies and lots of sunshine.
In spite of that, we did mange to find plenty of mud though. Aja won the prize for most spectacular fall in the mud. Even Mr Bovingdon tried to get in on the act, but he only succeeded in covering Mr Housecroft in mud instead of himself.
A succesful day, with only a couple of minor detours. We hope to see everybody from today, along with a few that could not make it, refreshed and ready to go on the next walk, which will be after the summer holidays on Sunday September 18th.
